When the young carpenter Karl Andersson from Derome in Halland invested all he had in a small village sawmill, he couldn't have imagined that the mill would develop into a thriving timber business.

Karl’s four sons Erling, Bernt-Göran, Ingemar and Karl-Erik followed by their children have invested and continued their commitment to develop operations further. Karl's entrepreneurial spirit has been handed down. Hard, long-term and goal oriented work form the basis.

Today the Derome Group is Sweden’s largest family-owned wood industry, an operation with good profitability which continues to develop and grow.
